Terms of use

Last updated: November 4, 2026.

These terms apply to the Bytelight game and to this site. Bytelight is made and run by André Daniel Souza Silva, an individual developer in Portugal. By installing or using the game, you agree to them.

The game

Bytelight is free to download and play. It has no ads and needs no sign-up. Each day comes with a number of free games, which may change over time.

Unlimited play

The “Unlimited play” purchase unlocks unlimited games and every tile style, for good, on the device and store account it was made with. It is a one-time payment, not a subscription. Payment, receipts and refunds are handled by Google Play or the App Store, under each store's rules. If you change phones, tap “I already bought it” in the game with the same store account.

Ranking

The ranking shows every player the name you choose, your points and the days you came first. Don't use a name that is offensive, impersonates someone or contains personal details. We may change or remove such names, and remove games that were not really played in the game. To have your games removed from the ranking, write to the email below.

Acceptable use

You may use the game to play it. Don't copy, resell or distribute the game or parts of it, and don't try to get around the day's games, the purchase or the ranking.

Test versions

Test versions may have bugs. Everything is unlocked in them, and what you write in the feedback form helps us improve the game.

Availability

We do our best to keep the game and the ranking running, but they may go down, change or stop existing. The game keeps working offline; only the ranking and the day's games need the internet.

Your rights

These terms take away none of the rights your country's law gives you as a consumer. Nothing here limits our liability where the law does not allow it to be limited.

Privacy

What the game sends and why is in the privacy policy.

Changes

When these terms change, the date at the top changes with them.
